One Jump Ahead

The first signs of Spring were evident in Central Park this weekend. Flowers are starting to bloom, buds are on the trees, and it’s warm enough for boat rides on the big pond.

The Waterlogue app is so much fun to use on photos. I went through some of my favorite New York City shots and enjoyed turning them into digital water colors.

Liberty Island and Ellis Island provide more than beautiful views of Manhattan, they are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The inside of the State of Liberty on Liberty Island is very small and only a very narrow staircase leads up to the statue’s crown.

The Ellis Island Immigration Museum is quite large and the main registration room has been restored to look as it did during 1918-1924.

Both places are a must visit for any out-of-town visitor or native New Yorker!
